WE CELEBRATE THE SEVENTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT OF THE PRIDNESTROVSKAIA MOLDAVSKAIA RESPUBLIKA

On June 12, 2002 in solemn session of the Supreme Soviet of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika the Oath was taken by the six judges of the Constitutional Court of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika. Exactly this very day has become the day of formation of the Constitutional Court of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika.

The fact is that authorities of the Constitutional Court turned out to be claimed and required for strengthening of the legal foundation of our state, provision of efficient protection of rights and freedoms of the citizens. The Constitutional Court of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika being the High Court of the Republic by the legal position expressed in decisions, guarantees supremacy of the Constitution of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika, enforces the principle of division of the powers, guarantees responsibility of the state before the citizen and the citizen before the state.

Due to activity of the Constitutional Court qualitatively new attitude to the law has been formed in our society, and there comes understanding that a person, his rights and freedoms shall be the supreme value, and human norms and principles are becoming the component of the legal system of our Republic.
