The main Symbols of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika, its Sovereignty, its State System and State Power are the State Flag, the State Emblem and the State Anthem.

Due to the succession of the historical traditions the depiction and the order of their application shall be established by the Law of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika "On the State Symbols of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika" adopted by the Supreme Soviet of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika on July 25th, 2000.

The original State Flag and the State Emblem, the text of the anthem shall be kept in the residence of the President of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika.

The State Flag of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika is a rectangular double-sided red cloth. In the middle there is a green stripe along the full length on each side of the cloth.

A hammer and sickle of the golden colour with the red five-pointed star framed with the golden edging which is the main element of the Emblem of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika is in the left corner of the upper part of the red stripe.

The green stripe takes one fourth of the width of the State Flag. The ratio between the width and the length of the Flag is 1/2.

The hammer and sickle are inscribed into a relative square with its side 1/5 of the width of the State Flag. The sharp end of the sickle is in the middle of the upper side of the square, and the handles of the sickle and the hammer set against the lower corners of the square.

The five-pointed star is inscribed into a relative circle with the diameter of 1/10 of the width of the State Flag pertinent to the upper side of the relative square.

The regular interval between the vertical axle of the star, sickle and hammer and the flagstaff is 1/4 of the width of the State Flag.

The interval between the upper edging and the centre of the star is 1/10 of the State Flag.

The State Emblem is a crossed hammer and sickle which symbolizes the unity of the workers and peasants, in the rays of the sun rising over the Dniester and framed by ears of wheat and maize, fruits, bunches and brunches of grapes, leaves winded round with a red ribbon with the inscription in the three languages:

In the upper side between the meeting ends of the ribbon there is the depiction of a five-pointed red star with the golden edging. The depiction of the hammer and sickle of the sun and the rays of the sun is golden, the ears of the wheat are dark-red, the maize is light-red and the leaves of the maize are dark-yellow. The fruits are red with pink tint, the middle bunch of the grapes is blue and the side bunches are amber-coloured. The stylized ribbon of the Dniester is blue with the white wavy line in the middle along its length. The drawing outline of the elements is brown.

The State Anthem of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika is the musical composition created on the ground of the melodies of B.Aleksandrov based on the words by B. Parmenov, N. Bozhko, V. Pishchenko.

The Symbols of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika are the Emblem of the Constitutional Court of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika, the Breastplate of the Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika and the Medal of the Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika.

1. The description of the Emblem

The main element of the emblem is a pedestral with a balance reposing on it with the inscription "The Constitutional Court" on them. The both scales of the balance are connected with a semisphere with the inscription "Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika" on it.

In the middle of the composition there is a stylized Emblem of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika. There are three horizontal lines under the Emblem between the scales of the balance.

The Emblem is depicted in three colours - dark-red, light golden and dark golden which can be used in different combinations depending on the purposes and conditions of application of the Emblem: there are dark-red inscriptions against the light golden background and vice versa, - light golden inscriptions against the dark-red background.

Irrespective of the combination of the colours the Emblem shall be depicted dark golden and the three horizontal lines shall be depicted light golden. The edging of the Emblem is depicted with two lines: outward thin (dark-red or light golden) and inward thick (light golden or dark-red).

The pedestral in the bottom of the Emblem symbolizes the firmness and high position of the Constitutional Power of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika and the Constitutional Court as the guarantee of the foundations of the Constitutional Law.

The balance is the symbol of justice, fairness and truth. The depiction of the balance symbolizes the fair justice based on the supremacy of the law. The equilibrium of the scales of the balance symbolizes the controvercity and equality of the sides, the equal relation of the court to the opponents of the procedings.

The State Emblem is the symbol of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika, its sovereignty and independence.

The three horizontal lines between the scales of the ballance above the State Emblem symbolize the division of the state power into legislative, executive and judicial branches which is the foundation of the democratic law state.

The semisphere with the inscription "Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika" reposing on the equilibric scales of the balance symbolizes equality of citizens and equal basic rights and freedoms of individuals and citizens on the one hand and responsibilities and duties on the other hand. The semisphere symbolizes a rainbow which has become a symbol of hope and reliability for all the mankind.

The Emblem of the Constitutional Court of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika shall be applied in the following cases:

- on the breastplates of the Judges and the medal of the Chairman of the Constitutional Court;

- on the formal and informal publications, on the site of the Constitutional Court;

- on the souveniers of the Constitutional Court such as fetching, table and wall souveniers.

The depiction of the Emblem shall be necessary for holding grand meetings and ceremonies of the Constitutional Court. Any other application of the Emblem of the Constitutional Court of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika shall be forbidden.
